Exercise can help your brain!!


I recently read an article from Clinician Reviews (March 2010. Vol 20, No 3), which stated that resistance training preformed 1-2 time per week for a least a year can improve your cognitive function. This is important for the aging population because there is no drug treatment that helps with brain function, the only problem is that most people do not engage in resistance training. The same with all resistance training is there is some risk of injury and this leads to a concern with some Seniors. A good training plan can help to elevate that concern as well by incorporating some balance and flexibility training. When people think of resistance training most think of bulking up like the hulk, but this is not true!! You can begin a maintain a resistance plan have all the benefits and still not bulk up!! So its up to you Gain a long and healthy life by sweating 1-2 days a week or forget we even talked!! You make the decision!
