Ballistic Training??



Ballistic training can add a new twist to your strength program! If you are looking for a way to gain strength and power without out bulking up like Hulk, then ballistic training is for you! Throwing a baseball, jumping off the ground, or running up a flight of stairs are all ballistic movement training. This type of training can be used to improve sports performance, but can also benefit you in everyday life. Some examples of ballistic training are squat jumps, lateral fast feet, and medicine ball throw. In 2009 an article from the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research stated that a group of 24 men trained and untrained following a 10 week plan of ballistic training demonstrated gains in jump and sprint performance as well as power outputs.
