He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. Psalms 25: 9

Humble: having or showing a modest or low estimate of one’s own importance.

“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. (1 Peter: 5-11)

Our daily lives are just like this passage from 1 Peter. Your competition is always looking to knock you down. They want you to lose, to give up, to walk away. But we are not alone! Surround yourself with people that will lift you up so that you can be successful in your life. There will always be someone or something that will stand in your way. You have to humble yourself and know that things will be tough, you will suffer but with God you will have the power to go on. Whether you are starting a new fitness plan, trying to be the best athlete you can be, working toward a new job or position you need help. Surround yourself with positive like minded people who will lift you up not tear you down..

1. What can you do tomorrow that will set you up for better results? 2. What can you do for someone else that needs to be lifted up?
