I was born and raise in Oakland MD. I ran cross country for Southern Garrett High School winning 4 state titles as a team and achieving all-state honors my junior year. I also played baseball and basketball for SGHS as well. After graduating I attended Alderson Broaddus College where I continued to run CC and play basketball. I then graduated with a degree in business admin and Marketing and moved to Wheeling WV.
I become a NCSF certified personal trainer in July of 2008. I am still a avid runner and youth Baseball, and Basketball coach. I have recently became a Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist. I also have completed classes in Youth Speed and Agility training, Explosive lifting for Sports, Plyometrics, Basic Running and many others. I am striving to help this country win the war on obesity, help people survive cancer, and become a better athlete.
In October, I started a nonprofit organization called Elm Grove Athletics. Elm Grove Athletics is a non profit 501c3 organization to help promote better sports for our youth teams.
It is our mission to provide our youth athletes with the positive environment and balanced guidance that fosters self-confidence, embraces goals, and nurtures a lifelong love for sports they choose to play!
Our primary goal is to help each athlete learn the necessary tools to be successful at any goal they choose. Our philosophies are based on a long-term approach to athletics. Teaching sports are secondary to the teaching of athletics as a way of life. An athletic lifestyle includes characteristics such as; respect, honor, responsibility, trust, initiative and dedication.
Elm Grove Athletics maintains that we create an environment that harbors these characteristics and want each and every athlete, volunteer, coach, or parent to live by these as well.
We also offer one-on-one or group coaching for baseball, basketball, fitness, and for endurance athletes.
